SPD SPOTS!
Come celebrate the winners of the SPD SPOTS Competition from the work of 2009, see who's winning the Gold and Silver Awards, have a few drinks courtesy of our friends at Grolsch, and catch up with your favorite people in the worlds where ADs and Illustrators collide!

What will we do with ourselves when all the September agenda items from Fashion Week and the US Open and the High Holidays and the Back-to-School checklists are over?

We'll celebrate our SPOTS winners, and hand out some hardware! Please join us on Tuesday, September 28th as we fête the winners from May's competition, announce the Gold and Silver Award winners, and celebrate those little illustrations that say so much, so wonderfully.

The Society of Publication Designers (SPD)

SPD is a membership organization dedicated to promoting and encouraging excellence in editorial design across all print and digital platforms.  Our members are art directors, designers, photo editors, photographers, illustrators and information graphics professionals, editors and students.

Since drafting its charter in 1965, SPD remains the only organization specifically addressing the visual concerns of print and digital editorial professionals, whether that be journalism, storytelling, service or more. Editorial design plays a crucial role in shaping and documenting our common history; as such, the efforts of the Society serve to educate and enlighten our members, and the general public about the importance of magazines, newspapers, and other publications.
